For a period of one year (2017 - 2018), CRI developed and deployed the Electronic System for National Investment Planning (E-SNIP) software to support Public Investment Management (PIM) processes in Mozambique. E-SNIP enables an effective linkage between national development planning, project appraisal, project selection and capital budgeting processes. E-SNIP immensely improved and streamlined project preparation, appraisal and submission, as well as the independent review of public investment projects. In addition, E-SNIP greatly improved the credibility and transparency of the allocation of public resources as well as the ability to evaluate the performance of public investment projects.
