
This project involves the Food and Enterprise Development Program in Liberia involves the strengthening of rice and goat value chains across Liberia's agricultural sector. The project aims to address food insecurity and post-conflict economic recovery, and is expected to generate economic and social benefits by improving smallholder productivity, commercial processing, and market access for staple crops and livestock. As part of the evaluation, a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis was conducted in line with international good practices, assessing the project’s financial viability, economic efficiency, distributional impacts, and fiscal implications. The analysis included detailed demand forecasts, cost estimates, and risk-adjusted sensitivity scenarios to ensure robust decision-making support for the United States Agency for International Development and the Government of Liberia.
