TL;DR
CRI facilitated a capacity-building program for Zambian government officials under the Ministry of National Development Planning. The program focused on equipping participants with skills for appraising Public Investment Projects (PIPs) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to modernize Zambia's Public Investment Management (PIM) system.

In April and June, 20218 CRI facilitated two capacity building programs under its contract with the Ministry of National Development Planning (MNDP) in Zambia. The program's theoretical and practical components were specially formulated to equip the various Ministries and Line Ministries of the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GoZ) that participated in the program; with the skills required to effectively and efficiently conduct appraisals of both Public Investment Projects (PIPs) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). A total of 28 government officials participated in the training program. The PIAR contributed to the GoZ's ongoing effort to modernize and enhance it's Public Investment Management (PIM) system by building the capacity necessary to operationalize and maintain such a system.
