Program on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis - Zimbabwe

The aim of this capacity building program was to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public investments by adopting better practices in the identification of capital projects, project planning, project appraisal, project execution and monitoring and evaluation. The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED) contracted CRI to facilitate a training program to meet these objectives. The Program on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis (PIAR), was conducted between the 24th of April and 19th of May 2017. The outcomes envisioned for the training program were as follows: 

  • Enable program participants to independently conduct feasibility studies using either the CBA or CEA methodologies
  • Equip program participants to develop and assess financial models for Public, Private, and PPP projects
  • Ensure that program participants understand and are able to identify, quantify and analyze project risks

31 government officials from various departments and agencies within the Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe Participated in the Training Program.
