The Program on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis was designed for individuals involved in formulating, selecting, or financing projects. Participants learn to assess all aspects of investment projects, add value through the redesign of projects, prepare project financing agreements and design strategies to address stakeholder concerns. On-site assistance is offered throughout the program by CRI personnel, who are established authorities in Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (CEA) and Risk Analysis.
The program uses a combination of lectures, discussion groups, computer based exercises and feasibility studies. CRI programs are known for their emphasis on case studies from various sectors and countries; these are analyzed in a rigorous and quantitative manner.
Some of the topics covered during the program include:
- Financial Modeling
- Risk Analysis
- Project Financing
- Economic Analysis
- Environmental Analysis
- Stakeholder Impact Assessment
Over the past 15 years we have offered this program to a number of notable clients including the World Bank, USAID, African Development Bank, Bank of Industry, and the Islamic Development Bank.
