Glenn P. Jenkins, PhD
Dr. Glenn P. Jenkins is a Professor of Economics at Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus, and at Queen’s University, Canada. He is an Institute Fellow Emeritus of Harvard University, and the former President of the International Society for Benefit Cost Analysis. In 1985, he founded the Program on Investment Appraisal and Management at Harvard University, and was its Director from 1985 to 2000. Since 2000, he has been the Director of the Program on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis at Queen’s University, Canada. To date, these programs have equipped over 2000 professionals from 50 countries with the theoretical and practical skills of cost-benefit analysis.
His previous appointments include: Assistant Professor of Economics, Harvard University (1972-77), Institute Associate and Institute Fellow, Harvard Institute for International Development (1977-2000), and Assistant Deputy Minister of Tax Policy and Legislation in the Department of Finance, Government of Canada (1981-1984).
Dr. Jenkins holds a B. Comm. from Carleton University, Canada, an MA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. His research interests include cost-benefit analysis, public finance, and economic development.
