George Kuo, PhD
Dr. George Kuo is a Senior Fellow of John Deutsch International, Queen’s University. He spent the past 5 years working as a research fellow and consultant with the Harvard International Tax Program and Harvard Institute for International Development. In addition, he taught tax analysis, revenue forecasting and investment appraisal, at the Harvard Executive Programs. Dr. Kuo has worked as a consultant on tax reform and tax analysis in Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Guyana, Taiwan and Ukraine.
Some of his notable consulting work includes: advising the Government of People’s Republic of China how to improve surveys of enterprises, measuring tax capacity, and developing models for tax policy simulations. Dr. Kuo was also responsible for undertaking the financial and economic appraisal of the Buenos-Aires-Colonia Bridge and Andean Highway Passes Program.
While working for the Government of Canada, Dr. Kuo served as a senior analyst looking at tax policy and major investment project, as well as managed a group of professionals.
